Merit badges are the best part of rank advancement fun for most scouts. A good counselor can keep boys interested in learning and growing,  so thank you in advance for your interest.

Merit  Badge Orientation is a brief, 2-hour classroom presentation with videos from BSA's National Office to help merit badge counselors understand the job requirements and answer practical questions.  Together  with the Youth Protection Training (YPT) course offered by the BSA free online, upon receipt of your training card, you are a trained counselor ready to help our boys advance to the highest ranks as a Boy Scout.

Taught by the Golden Arrow District training team, adult leaders from everywhere are invited to attend this course at no charge.

The courses on Feb.21st will be taught at St. John the Divine, 2450 River Oaks Blvd. @ Westhiemer, Houston TX 77019.
